Outdoor play for little explorers! Our Nature Play Group offers relaxed, child-led experiences where toddlers and preschoolers can explore, create and play in nature alongside a parent or carer. Activities include story time, games, loose parts play, water play, messy play, craft and more.

About the event
Our Nature Play Group is designed for children aged 18 months to 5 years and their parent or carer, providing a welcoming space to explore nature through play.
Each session offers a range of simple, open-ended nature play experiences such as sensory play, loose parts exploration, water and mud play, nature craft, cubby play and imaginative outdoor activities. Children are free to move between activities, play at their own pace, and engage in their own way.
There is no pressure to participate in everything. Observing, repeating favourite activities and taking breaks are all part of the learning process. Facilitators set up the play environment, model ideas, and support families while allowing children to lead their own play.
Sessions often begin with a story and some quick games (for those who want to participate), before moving into free play. There will often be a new theme each session, with new activities…
